CABBAGE KOOTU CURRY

Ingredients:
• Cabbage : 2 cups(finely chopped)
• Tuvar dal : 1/4 cup
• Red chillies : 4(according to your spice level)
• Curry leaves : 4 to 5
• Oil : 2 tsp
• Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp
• Jeera : 1tsp
• Mustard seeds : 1 tsp
• Coconut : 1/2(shredded)
• Salt : according to your taste

Method of Preparation:
1. Soak the tuvar dal for 15 minutes .Because when you soak the dal it’s easy to pressure cook.
2. After that pressure cook the tuvar dal with cabbage , turmeric powder , salt and a cup of water in to it.
3. Pressure cook the dal for 3 whistle , remove from heat and keep it aside.
4. Boil the whole mixture for about 5 to 6 minutes .Make sure that the dal is mashed well.
5. Grind the coconut with the jeera and redchillies with some water till it is soft.
6. Add the grind coconut mixture into the dala and cabbage and remove from heat.
7. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds , curry leaves, after the seeds splutter put it in the above mixture .

serve hot with rice , chapathi
